12 Service Areas Selected for Early On Workforce Coaching TORSH Talent Pilot
Funded through the federal Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDG B-5), under the direction of the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP), the Office of Innovative Projects is launching a three-year pilot project to explore how the TORSH Talent platform can strengthen workforce coaching, enhance multidisciplinary teaming, and support caregiver coaching practices within Early On.
We’re excited to announce that 12 Service Areas, representing a total of 349 providers, have been selected to participate in the pilot. Selected Service Areas will receive training, technical assistance, and access to the TORSH Talent platform for three years.
Cohort 1A includes the following Service Areas, which will independently explore the use of the TORSH Talent platform with training and technical assistance provided by TORSH:
- Bay-Arenac ISD
- Berrien RESA
- Eaton RESA
- Ingham ISD
- Kent ISD
- St. Clair County RESA
Cohort 1B includes the following Service Areas, which have an existing workforce coaching structure. In addition to training and technical assistance from TORSH, these Service Areas will receive initial coaching-focused support from CCRESA OIP to help align their current coaching practices with the TORSH Talent platform:
- Eastern Upper Peninsula ISD
- Kalamazoo RESA
- Monroe ISD
- Ottawa Area ISD
- Saginaw ISD
- Shiawassee RESD
We look forward to learning alongside these Service Areas throughout the pilot and exploring how technology, coaching, and teaming can work together to strengthen support for Michigan’s early childhood workforce and the families they serve!
