Family and professional partnerships are at the center of effective early intervention. Michigan’s Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) members and Michigan Alliance for Families have partnered to share information on recruiting, retaining, and valuing family representatives on committees. We will explore the importance of having the parent voice represented and how to support and develop leadership skills in parent members.  Tools will be introduced for recruiting parents to participate on committees and for family members to better understand their role on a committee.
