Strengthening Families™ Protective Factors Training

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering a virtual Strengthening Families™ training with trainers from ECIC, as a part of the TA supports available to you.  Strengthening Families is a research-based framework developed by the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce child abuse and neglect.  This training will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the Strengthening Families™ framework and explore the five Protective Factors (Parental Resilience, Social Connections, Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development, Concrete Supports in Times of Need and Social and Emotional Competence of Children).  In addition, participants will spend time brainstorming ideas about concrete ways to embed the framework into the work of the Parent Coalition and Collaborative.

This training will take place virtually from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a break for lunch.  Registration is open to all Parent Liaisons and GSC Directors/Coordinators.
