Introduction to The Premature and Young Infant Development Assessment Tool [PYIDAT]

Date:

May 29, 2025

Time:

Training is from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

Details:

Grand Valley State University early intervention researchers have developed an assessment tool designed for use with premature and young infants, up to five months of age, given the limited assessment resources available for use with very young children. The Premature and Young Infant Development
Assessment Tool [PYIDAT] research team is in the process of
establishing reliability and validity of the tool. The assessment tool identifies developmental abilities and delays, is a quantitative measurement of developmental growth, can be used for parent education, and is a source of data for systems evaluations.

Early On Coordinators and early intervention providers are invited to learn about the assessment tool, the process for service provider certification for use of the assessment tool, and participation in the research study.
