Details:

This training focuses on effectively using the Inclusive Classroom Profile (ICP) to assess and promote effective inclusive practices within the general education PreK setting.  The ICP was developed by Elena P. Soukakou and is now available through Brooks Publishing.

This training is available to those involved in the Inclusion Stakeholder Group and others who have expressed interest in being trained and promoting improved practices within their area. Participants will take part in a two-and-a-half-day training. The first day will consist of a half-day overview of the tool and will focus on developing an understanding of and skillset for using the assessment effectively and consistently. On the second and third days, those involved in the training will practice and refine their observational and rating skills within a general education setting. One trainer will accompany up to three participants into a classroom. Afterwards, attendees will examine their observations and ratings. Specific attention will be given to developing consistent and supported ratings.

The ICP manual and protocols as well as training documents will be included in participant folders.  For advance information, participants may view the following module in advance of the training: view the introductory video on this instrument.
