DEC Pre-Conference: Unpacking the K-readiness Toolkit and its solutions

The following optional activities are designed to “flip” your professional development experience for this year’s MiDEC conference. Essentially, we’ve created a series of optional activities, which allow you to gain awareness, establish common vocabulary, and begin thinking about questions and ideas you’d like to explore with others during the live conference event. Timelines and time commitments are provided for each of the activities.   • Download and begin to use this Power Packs™ app designed to intentionally teach self-regulation during play.
    • Can download in iTunes or Google Play.

    • NOTE: The developmental level of the prompts (i.e., things adults can say, do, and ask) spans typical development from roughly 24 to 60 months.
    • Downloadable PPT file with eight slides, which depict the steps for teaching self-regulation skills. The slides can be used and reused for training and other educational purposes.
